Would I Choose Conzuri for Date Night? Here’s My Verdict.

Jamie was 5'9. So was his date.

“The first time we met, her eyes lit up and she had a big smile on her face. It was like a movie scene. Usually I have awkward hugs because the height difference is embarassing for me - this one felt just right and the date got better from there”

He was describing Conzuri sneakers. So for this review, I looked at the Ice Runners (what I found to be a clean white date-night option).

The inches would lose their appeal for me if the shoes looked like platforms.

One buyer had asked himself the same thing: “I was concerned they may look bulky and obvious platform type shoes - Nope!”

Ice Runners have a white knit upper and a lift built into the shoe. The shape has worked great across most of my outfits so far.

The number is measured over barefoot, and it includes the sole.

For a man who is 5'8 barefoot, that means about 5'10.4 in Ice Runners. That puts the gain over typical sneakers at roughly 1.4 inches.

That distinction matters to me. I want to know how much taller I’d stand than I do in my usual shoes.

The lift is built into the pair, so I wouldn’t need to fit a separate booster into another sneaker.

I found positive accounts of nights out, along with buyers who needed time to adjust. They're not going to be as comfortable as a regular pair of sneakers, but you're not getting height from those regular shoes - so the trade-off is up to you.

My takeaway: Ice Runners do a great job at being as comfortable as possible. I've tried other alternatives and Conzuri are by-far the most comfortable option. The breathable knit upper is a nice bonus too.

Note: this style runs a little large. If I were between sizes, I’d follow the product page’s advice to choose the smaller size.

The answer is simple: take the shoes off and the added height goes with them.

What appeals to me is the complete shoe. The lift is built in, rather than a separate booster I’d have to fit into my usual sneakers.

My worst nightmare is taking off my shoes and there being an obvious height-booster inside. This does't happen with Ice Runners.

There's always things you can do to make your real height a little less obvious in a first-date scenario.

If you're back at her place, sitting down (or lying down!) is the easy part. Finding a reliable height boost option has been incredibly hard - but Conzuri actually deliver in all aspects.

If I wanted a clean white sneaker with extra height for date nights, I’d choose Ice Runners.

The built-in lift answers the height question. The white sneaker design is a style I’d consider for the outfit. And the customer accounts show why standing a little taller beside a partner can matter.
